On April 9, 1948, more than 110 Palestinian men, women and children were slaughtered in one of the most heinous crimes carried out by Zionist forces. The massacre took place in the once-prosperous village of Deir Yassin on the western outskirts of Jerusalem. The New York Times reported at the time that half of the victims were women and children.

Two Israeli officials: Hamas’ tunnels are unique and are underground cities

Israeli government spokesman Elon Levy described the tunnels used by the Islamist group Hamas as unique, while a British newspaper quoted another official as saying that destroying the Gaza tunnels was like science fiction.  Levy said Benjamin Netanyahu's government was committed to achieving war goals, including the release of hostages and ending Hamas rule.
