The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said on Friday that the Israeli occupation army committed liquidations and executions of entire families in areas in the Gaza Strip in light of its continuous aggression for the 77th day.
Hamas explained – in a statement – the recording of areas in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, liquidation and execution by the “fascist occupation army” of entire families, “as happened with the Enaya family in Gaza City, whose bodies were found in their home after the withdrawal of the occupation,” according to Anadolu Agency.
The movement pointed out that several cases of the execution of civilian men in front of the eyes of their families, women and children, after storming and controlling their homes, “according to the testimonies of families and survivors of these terrorist massacres”.
Hamas called on the United Nations, the international community, and human rights and humanitarian institutions to “raise their voices loudly in the face of this arrogance and criminality, and to disregard international and humanitarian law,” calling for holding the occupation government and its international supporters, led by the administration of US President Joe Biden, accountable, according to the movement.
This comes as the Israeli army continues to escalate its campaign and raids on the Gaza Strip, while Hamas described the Israeli occupation’s arrest of a number of Palestinian Red Crescent employees in the Jabalia refugee camp, and its continued detention of about 100 health workers, “a war crime and an expression of the outbreak of this enemy that systematically destroys the health sector.”
Eyewitnesses had previously told Al Jazeera that the occupation forces carried out field executions of some residents of Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City, after besieging them in rooms inside the building in which they live.
One of the injured said that the occupying forces broke into the building, blew up the doors of some apartments, and then shot at some, although they were sure that they were civilians.
Anadolu Agency also reported that news websites and eyewitnesses talked about field executions carried out by the Israeli army in front of their eyes, in addition to random arrests of civilians and taking them to unknown destinations during its incursion into several axes in the Gaza Strip.
Since the seventh of last October, the Israeli occupation army has continued its aggression on Gaza, leaving so far 20,057 martyrs, and 53,320 injuries, according to the Ministry of Health in the Strip.
